We’re saving a seat for you!

It’s time. Close all the open tabs in your brain. Disconnect from the daily overwhelm. Stop the defeatist thoughts.

It’s time. Open your heart and mind. Reconnect with your true self. Restore your soul. Empower your mind wellness.

The Pandemic. Breaking news. Concerns about climate and the economy. Forest fires, school shootings, politics. Worries of the day. Devastating headlines.

In this constantly connected world, do you find yourself feeling more disconnected from the person you used to be? And not just from your 2019 self, but even further perhaps? Disconnected from your purpose, from your true self, from the people around you? You are not alone.

It’s time to restore your soul.

If you’ve been weary and in need of rest from all the division and hopelessness in the world, if you feel lost somewhere inside yourself and you’ve forgotten who you really are, if you’re looking for some direction for your life, if you want to find the courage that still exists deep inside of you… It’s time.

Time to uncover the truest version of who you are.
Time to emerge stronger, more joyful, and more confident.
Time to restore your soul.
Time to empower your mind wellness.

What can I expect during this transformative retreat?

Using an expanded form of the Soul Restoration curriculum originally developed by Melody Ross, you will be taught skills and strategies to change the way you think and behave, and the stories you tell yourself about the experiences you have. You will learn how changing these thoughts, beliefs, stories, and behaviors will change how you feel. Through the use of several evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Neuroscience, Art Therapy, Gentle Yoga, Journaling, and Forest Bathing, you will have the tools you need to change your life. Not just for a week or a month or a year…but for the rest of your life. Your soul will be restored.

Your mind wellness will be empowered.

How much does the Retreat cost?

The Soul Restoration Retreat is $3,995 and includes accommodations, meals and snacks, all course materials, all therapeutic treatment, yoga, forest bathing, sound healing, and art therapy.

How do I get to the Retreat House?

Make your flight reservation to Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). From there you will take an Uber or Lyft to the designated address in your confirmation email. You will also have a private Facebook Group where you will be able to make arrangements to share Uber rides with fellow guests, if you choose.

Will I have my own room?

Every guest of The Blue Blanket will have their own comfortable bed; however, you will likely have a roommate.  Some will share bathrooms and some may have their own. Room assignments are chosen randomly by drawing names. You won’t be spending much time in your room because we have a very exciting and packed schedule all week, including several outings to epic places.

Does the Retreat House have Wifi?

Yes, your devices will have access to free, secure Wifi. However, it is our desire that you would choose to unplug as much as possible during this week of restoration.

Are meals provided?

Yes.  All meals and snacks will be provided by a local catering company during your stay at the Retreat.  We will make every effort to accommodate special diets and allergies; however, if there is a particular item you wish to have, you may have groceries delivered via InstaCart.

What should I wear?

Casual is recommended for the retreat. Katherine will be dressing comfortably the entire time, and hope you will be, too. Bring at least one outfit that you will feel comfortable wearing when we go out for public outings.

What else should I bring?

Bring shoes that are comfortable to hike in (sturdy shoes with good tread)… our hikes will be beautiful walks, nothing strenuous for non-hikers. Also remember to bring supplements and medications, your favorite pen, a water bottle, and ear plugs and an eye mask if you have trouble sleeping.

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest Bathing is the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. It is the practice of walking or being in the woods very mindfully. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness, increase creativity, lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system, and accelerate recovery from illness.

What if I’ve never done Yoga before?

All of our activities are optional. That said, our yoga instructor will be doing only the gentlest of yoga practice with our group. Some very light stretching, bending, and breathing exercises. They will be meant for relaxation purposes and we can assure you, there will be others there who will also be new to the practice. Do the parts that feel comfortable, and breathe through the rest. Or sit on the deck and eat a muffin.

Location

Asheville, North Carolina is the perfect setting to restore one’s soul.

The Retreat House, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains. It was hand-picked for our retreats because of the endless mountain vistas, rivers, and nearby forest trails to support our connection with nature. Your free time and mornings can be spent journaling, reading, or enjoying the views.

Our host house is spacious enough to accommodate our daily group activities while providing the right dose of privacy to rest, reflect, and restore. The home is equipped with a pool room, and beautiful common areas to relax and connect with your new friends.

Testimonials

You created a safe space for me to look inward and face the things I really needed to face, so I could learn who I really am. I had no idea that could happen in just a week, and I’ll be forever thankful to you for helping me find myself again. I can’t wait to start my new life, with confidence and joy. Your energy, warmth, and wisdom made all the difference. I wish everyone could take this class with you.  You teach with so much love. That is your gift. And you do it with the most genuine enthusiasm. That is your superpower. Thank you so much.

Andrea C.

Kat, I can’t imagine a safer place to do soul work than in the beautiful world you create with your warm, welcoming authenticity. Your retreat changed my life! It is a gift I will never be able to thank you for enough. The space you make and hold all the retreat participants in is the perfect place for us to let down our guard and be our vulnerable true selves. Your enthusiasm for each one of our journeys was contagious. Sharing your journey with us was the key that started the ball rolling and allowed me to open up and speak words I have never been able to speak or acknowledge before. I am filled with gratitude and forever thankful I came to your retreat! Xoxo

Katherine King Cosimano has helped me find new energy, purpose, joy, and a fervor for my creative self. Kat is passionate in helping others restore their souls… finding the beauty they lost or didn’t realize they had within them. She is kind, loving, brave, beautiful, and purposeful. God knew what he was doing when Kat was brought into my life even if I may not have known all the reasons at that time.  She has helped my son in ways she doesn’t even know and helped me as well.  My husband and so many others that I love are also recipients of Kat’s love.  The Blue Blanket, and Soul Restoration, through what I’ve learned about myself along with the tools I’ve required to truly be ME!
